A Bible verse no one ever celebrates

I feel sorry for this verse.

No one memorizes it.

No one puts it into a book of precious Bible promises.

No one paints a mural of this verse for the youth room at church.

No one takes a verse like this and puts it on one of those fancy sunset backgrounds for all to see.

Until now.

And as for the truth of this verse, consider how Jesus has the crazy habit of taking someone who is just drifting along in the flow and pattern of this world—then transforms him/her through His Gospel—and then sends him/her back into the world to live in an exact opposite way they used to live.

"And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.  Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think." —Romans 12:1-12
