This is one of our Disciplemaking Learning Communities that gathers monthly in Galesburg, IL. Our other DLCs are in Peoria, IL, Sycamore, IL, MI, and a Women's DLC is also meets in Peoria, IL.

Over 2,000 students and youth leaders participated in the Ignite Youth Leadership Conference in Des Moines, IA. We had the honor of encouraging and equipping many of these students and youth leaders in our three different disciplemaking breakout sessions. We're scheduled for the Ignite Youth Leadership Conference in Oswego, IL, this month as well. Join us!

Teaching Jesus-like disciplemaking friendships that multiply at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago.
By the time you read this, the three of us will have been out West for this. 

That moment when the ministry leaders you are strategically building into overflow to those in their ministry! Pastor Dan Johnston and Youth Pastor, Tim Brown, both from Crosspoint Church in East Peoria, IL, share Jesus' simple and life-changing disciplemaking way of life. Here's what they are aspiring to study, live, and share with others. And here's how The Disciplemaker's Flywheel works to create disciplemaking momentum!

It was my honor to lead these men from Grace Bible Church in Normal, IL, in an exploration of what it means to finish well in God's eyes. A number of these men are now gathering every Wednesday nights to study, live, and share the disciplemaking genius of Jesus.

Meriden Evangelical Free Church in Iowa: We did a Family Disciplemaking Ministry Is Relationships training experience on Saturday morning and I preached on Sunday morning. Our longtime friend, Pastor Pete Younker, was in our Disciplemaking Learning Community in Ankeny, IA, many years ago.

So many people trying to find friendship and community...

Instead of trying to "find" community, what if instead you sought to "build" community right where you live , work , play , and church ? But how does one "build" community? As a general rule, I try to take all of my questions to Jesus and the Bible.  So, how did Jesus "build" community?   This is where I invite you to do your own study on how Jesus used meals to connect with people. At a minimum, you could quickly search " Jesus eating. " What can we say with certainty about Jesus and eating in the Bible? It seems that Jesus enjoyed eating meals with all sorts of people—and the meal wasn't about the food—it was how Jesus connected with people. Can you think of a better way to connect with people? Perhaps this is why Paul lists "hospitality" as a requirement for all leaders in the church (1 Timothy 3:
