Monday Funday: A comedian is not without honor except in his own home

Recently I spoke at a church and a young teenager—a friend of my teenage kids—was there. The next day, this teenager was at our house hanging out with our family. I said to him, "So I hear you were in church when I was speaking yesterday."

He smiled and said, "You're kinda funny."

Looking at my kids (who don't think I'm all that funny), I announced, "Did you hear that kids? I'm funny!"

Without missing a beat, Libby, my 14-year-old, sarcasticly said, "I heard 'Kinda.'"
