For the last year, I've been winking at her and saying stuff like, "You're gonna be the BIG 4-0 this year. You're getting old woman." And how does she respond? She smiles back at me in appreciation. No joke. She actually wants to look older. (One would think that her marriage to me and our six kids ages 8-18 would be enough stress to create gray hair and wrinkles... but to no avail... so far. Maybe when she gets to be 41?)
If you'd like to wish Stacy a happy 40th birthday and make her day by telling her how old she is looking, then all you have to do is GO HERE.
I invite you to join Sir Paul McCartney (who is old enough to be Stacy's dad) in the video below in celebrating the 40th birthday of the woman I love most on planet earth.
May God bless you on this amazing achievement. Amazing because you've lived with Bill for at least half that time. God has created you into His amazing image. We are so blessed that God has allowed us to be friends. May God bless all the years that he has ordained for you.
Happy 40th Birthday Stacey! nancy and I have both been through this already and we are having the time of our lives in the 40's!! Looking forward to having your family at Districts!!!

WOW, Happy Birthday young lady, I mean older lady, no lady, no just woman of God. You don't look a day over, no let's just say you are 40 today. Now that you have reached the pentacle of your life, no let's just say a mile stone, no maybe that is to hard of a word. Let's say another level, not that you have not reached a level yet, looking so young. Ok, let me just say "Happy Birthday" and let's pretend I don't know your age because woman don't share there age. Updated: May 2, 2022: Scroll Down! Original post is from December 7, 2021 Take a good look at this sonogram. (Now take a deep breath.) Christmas is the celebration of the birth of a child. (Are you sitting down right now?) And no one was more surprised than Mary and Joseph. (If you’re on medication, this might be a good time to take it.) Because you subscribe to Cup O' Joe with Bill , you are among the very first people to know this breaking and surprising news: There is a baby on the way! Yep, we just got word that our son, Bill and his wife, Lydia, are “with child.” And that means: We’re going to be grandparents! Did I take away your breath for moment? Good. I know what you’re thinking now: “Wow, Bill and Stacy are way too young-looking to be grandparents.” I know, right. (*wink) Don’t worry. Three days after we found out that we were going to be grandparents, I went to an REO Speed Wagon concert with Aubrey and Sadey. Take that old age! #OldGuysRock Bad to the bone biker chi
NOTE: I'm just back from a short study sabbatical in Egypt and Israel with some of my Cadre compadres. To find out WHY I accepted the invitation to do a short study sabbatical, you need to read, " It's time I took my own advice. " WOW! What a life-changing time of study, learning, growth, friendship, community, walking, coffee, and fun! There is NO possible way I can (or should) give you a drink from the fire hose of what God did in my life in ONE blog entry, so I'm just going to unpack little by little what God did in my life from time to time here at Cup O' Joe with Bill . I'll include some fun pictures and some specific learnings... let's just say I will never read the Bible the same again. [ Above: Investing in another day of study/prayer/worship at The Garden Tomb—right outside Jerusalem's Old City walls and right next to what was believed to be Golgotha (the place the Bible says Jesus was crucified). The Garden Tomb was so peaceful
Check out this true, simple, and encouraging story.. . (Click image above to enlarge for viewing.) Note: One of our best disciplemaking friends from Wisconsin connected us to this pastor in the state of Washington via Cadre's book, The Disciplemaking Genius of Jesus . In the note below, I've taken the liberty to highlight in red some of the most cogent, beautiful, and transformative acts of God . As you read below, I hope you are encouraged and that you find yourself thanking God and giving him all the glory. "Bill, This is my small group [seep pic above]. We are a small church (125-150 weekly attendance) in a small but rapidly growing community. I was sent out to plant a church around 15 years ago. The church that sent me was a small-group based church, seeking to practice a cell-church ministry philosophy, so there was not only a high emphasis on small groups/relationship, but also multiplication at every level. Of course, this fits very nicely with Cadre's "
